70# press: 5,5,5,5,3 RL. Goddammit. Missed by 2 reps.

HLR 6# 6,5,5

JS for ankles, legs. Shrugs with green band, sets of 5 x2

Grrrr. After that missed DL I was screwed. However, I came very close to my 5x5 goal on the presses! I'll get it next time, after more GDG work. The sets "degraded" surprisingly little. I'm sure that it had nothing to do with the frozen water bottle I was rolling around in my hands between sets. Cough ahem. Curiously enough, the palm cooling DID seriously cool me. I sweated almost not at all. Hmm.

PLan: I am going on vacation in a couple days. Poor gym facilities, no doubt. Thus: for that week I will do pistols, KB presses, and swings intensively. Pistols for the legs, presses for um, presses, and swings to maintain/recover for my next DL cycle. Come back and start DLs at 365. And press 5x5, dammit!

Elbow still weird. I am going to hack in and see what's up; it might be "sarno" pain and can be turned off. If not, and it still bothers me after the 5x5, then adjustment is in order.

I'll look for some other "press" that does not aggravate it. Maybe SWAT dips, maybe the handstand pushup training, whatever. If it feels okay, then I'll do the intensive 2-week pushup program before starting on my next press goal, which is the HSPU.

If I think it's really screwed up, then I'll see an ortho and probably just put all upper-body work away for a while if I have to. I'll just pretend I'm Lepidosiren or something.
